（7/10）情节比较淡，但作为基顿亲自编导的作品还是更有个人特点，几场动作戏是亮点，其中几个镜头很赞。虽然是拿印地安部落开刷但基顿也对印地安人给予了同情，在当时能办到这点已属难得，想90年代的时候，我依然还能看到丑化印地安人的美国动画。

笑死我了，故事太好玩了，基顿也超级可爱。开始和印第安人周旋，光上火刑柱就玩出很多花样，烧火那段貌似很难拍基顿的表演也笑死了。后来实在威武，和白人交涉时太帅了，和野蛮族打仗过桥时很出彩。结尾很有爱。基顿这时的片子已经有了完整而跌宕的剧情，人物性格也比较健全了。总体技法相当成熟。
