在剧本的初稿中,默腾斯真的击毙了布吕克纳,后来按苏联有关方面的意见进行了修改,理由是不宜宣传自行裁决。影片充分利用了光线的明暗对比手法(好几处的灯光投影不错,尤其是结尾刺杀上尉的那场戏,给力!),反映出主人公的复杂心理,回顾了德国的“昨天”,探讨了人与历史的关系。导演的技法加分!
